Is there anyone kind enough to post up a race-by-race summary of the stats. Last year there were plenty of thread, the ones I saw being from the BBC Board, but I'm sure the knowledge is here too, showing which trends / stats were worth following for each race (mainly the Handicaps I guess) - ie which ages / weights have won more recently etc and anythign else worth looking out for.
Sky i have a link somewhere from some one who posted it from the bbc board, once i get access to my old comp il try and send it on, it was like a bible. _________________ Great Endeavour- I rest my case which I presented in December. Plot landed.
Guys it was Yaiyam who posted the stats for Cheltenham ( least im 95 % sure it was ) YY if it was you please post the link again as last year it was a big help.
I did post one with a blue background i can remember it but i cannot find it this one is not to bad with the ten golden rules but does not go into each race in depth like the other, i will continue looking
this one is race specific but was for 2005 i guess you could print this off and all the race fields in 2005 & 2006 from the racing post and see how many horses you would have had to back in each race and how many winners you would have had.
I know a few of the bigger priced winners have been in these trends

i am in the process of updating the stats i used during the 2003 festival.these stats took me many weeks to do as i went through it thoroughly and i glad i did now as when it comes to big races,the profile of certain runners and the route they take upto as been very consistent and can bring horses into play that you previously thought had little chance and vise versa,it throws out many short priced horses who dont fit that well with past winners.my biggest success was court shareefs 200-1 second in the coral cup behind monkerhostin,he was shortlisted of about 4 that were very strong stat wise for that race.i also have loads for aintree as well that need updating.
heres a example of simply way of finding the champion bumper winner thats worked in 10 of the last 11 years.consider horses who have won a bumper race with 15 runners or more,they must have won a race easy or impressively earning at least a rpr of 115 and won at least 1 race by at least 5 lengths (that doesnt neccesarily have to coincide with a easy/impressive win) check out recent winners hairy molly ,missed that and total enjoyment.all have continued to show the above method of shortlisting this champion bumper is still strong. _________________ stotsfold going to be special this flat season.

If like me you have just got the cheltenham mag through here are some interesting stats;
71 The number of 5 year olds to have tatsed defeat in the champion hurdle since see you then in 1985, which is not good news for DETROIT CITY and AFSOUN supporters.
48 The number of runners since THE FELLOW finished fourth in 1993 and won in 1994 who were beaten in the gold cup and tasted defeat in the same race 12 months later.
17 The number of winners at last seasons festival (from 24 races) that also won LAST TIME OUT. In fact, the first ten races went the way of last-time out winners.
34 The number of years since a horse younger than 7 won the QUEEN MOTHER CHASE, does not bode well for VOY POR USTEDES.
24 The number of winners in the big 4 races (gold cup, champion chase, champion hurdle world hurdle) in the last 7 seasons to have started in the first 3 in the betting.
1 The number of handicap hurdle winners at the festival since 1993 to have made all or virtually all of the running.
19 The number of irish trained winners during the last 2 festivals from a total of 48 races (last year a record 10 winners)
0 Number of 5 year olds to have won WORLD HURDLE, serious negative for BLAZING BAILEY.
22 Number of steeple chases won at the festival during last 10 years at up to 2m5f by FRENCH BRED HORSES.
7 Number of horses to have done the KING GEORGE CHASE/GOLD CUP double from 39 that have tried.
