Been told there was an article about a guy winning millions on betfair.
Wont buy the news of the world as its the sister paper of the Sun.
Betfair have put on their website that the figures given are totally untrue. _________________ I AM HAPPY TO JOIN WITH YOU TODAY IN WHAT WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE GREATEST DEMONSTRATION FOR FREEDOM IN THE HISTORY OF OUR NATION(THE I HAVE A DREAM SPEECH,1963, MARTIN LUTHER KING)

I read this article and was convinced the guy was full of crap, glad Betfair have come out and discredited it. _________________ 2009 BCT Winner - Conduit

3 from 3 placed 2008 at big odds, 2 winners from 3 here so that can mean only one thing, the treble up this year!
I was quite surprised to read in the betfair statement that no one made anything near £1.5million on the champion hurdle. I just assumed that the bookies used betfair to lay off large liabilities, which I'm sure a few of them would of had something near on that on Binocular.

We have been contacted by several customers in relation to an article in Sunday’s News of the World. We would like to make it clear that Betfair was not asked to comment on, or validate any aspect of, the article ahead of publication.
Although we cannot comment on the activities of any specific customer, some facts which may be relevant to some of the claims made in the article include:
the biggest winner in the relevant Britain’s Got Talent market (Susan Boyle winner - Yes/No) won less than £3,000.
No Betfair customer won £1.5 million or anything even vaguely approaching that amount betting on the Champion Hurdle.
No Betfair customer won £500,000 or anything even vaguely approaching that amount laying Monsieur Chevalier at Royal Ascot
The figures shown in the account statement screenshot in the News Of the World do not reconcile to any Betfair account.
The monies present in a Betfair account are obviously no indicator of the sums won or lost on the account.
We would encourage customers to be wary of the claims of anyone purporting to have a profitable system or strategy.
We would encourage customers to retain a healthy degree of scepticism toward any claims made in the press which are not validated by Betfair.
Im glad Betfair responded. The article will have meade people think this game is too easy. _________________ If at first you dont succeed..then skydiving isnt for you

This is the thing the very nature of betfair means that for every punter making money there's someone losing somewhere. But you go on the betfair forum and everyone seems to win
