Another week,another chance to get some $$$$ from the bookies so here it is,


TENNESSEE -7.5 @ 4/5(TOTE)

Tennessee are coming off a bye week and are the only undefeated team in the league so will be looking to confirm that their early season form isnt a fluke.Their running game should be able to pound kansas into submission and their defence can do what they have done all season and keep the chiefs out of scoring positions.Kansas have had only one bright note all season when they beat denver but reverted to type and got thumped off carolina in week 5 so i cant see how they can cope with a better all round team like Tennessee.A gift of a price if there ever was one IMHO.

PITTSBURGH -9.5 @ 10/11(VARIOUS)

Pittsburgh are another team coming off a bye which couldnt have come at a better time for them and allowed the likes of Ben Rothlisberger to get relatively healthy again whereas cincinatti will be without carson palmer again with his elbow injury flaring up.Pittsburgh have all the areas of the game covered,they can run the ball easily,passing has never been a problem since Ben took control and their defence is one of the best in the game.The bengals on the otherhand cant do any of this,Fitzpatrick is woeful to say the least at QB,they wont be able to run against pittsburgh which piles even more pressure on fitzpatrick and that allows the pittsburgh defence to go all out with blitz packages coming from all angles.If pittsburgh get it right,this could be a silly score like 42-6 so covering -9.5 should be a walk in the park.

NY JETS -3 @ 5/6(VARIOUS)

The jets are getting better every week with Brett Favre under centre whereas the raiders are as bad as ever.There is nothing flashy about the way Favre goes about his business and with oakland already on their 2nd coach of the season this should be a relatively simple game for the jets.Covering 3 is not a bother to a team who are running up points for fun against an oakland team who cant do anything right on either side of the ball.

Well i dont really know what to say about this weeks selections.2 games worked out to perfection.Tennessee duly thumped Kansas and was nearly a shutout until near the end when Kansas put their 3rd QB on and got a couple of cheap scores,i got the exact points correct in the Pittsburgh game but did say it could be 42-6 so 38-10 was good enough to easily covered the handicap and then sat back and watched a shocker in oakland where they managed to beat the jets to blow it up again.Getting really sick of this kind of thing and if this was horse racing i would be asking for stewards enquiries although i should have guessed something was up when i went to place my bet and the jets were evens to win giving up 3.i cant remember the last time when a team that was evs on the handicap has actually won so i will have to be more ruthless in future and discard these bets no matter how good it looks.
