After last weeks games the season has already been turned on its head for the Patriots with the news that star QB Tom Brady has been ruled out for the season.San Diego also had a dose of bad news with the news that defensive leader Shawne Merriman has also been ruled out for the season with the knee injury that i flagged up in my ante post preview.Because of these injuries the bookies have changed a few prices.Dallas are the new favourites for the superbowl at a general 4/1(advised at 8/1) but i digress to week 2 of the season.

GREEN BAY -3 @10/11(VARIOUS)
I would put this down as an early xmas present from the bookies. The Lions were absolutely awful last week against the falcons giving up over 300yds on the ground and if that trend continues this week, the Packers will have a field day on the ground which will open up the pass for Rodgers who impressed me with his poise and accuracy against the Vikings in week 1.

NEW ORLEANS +1@10/11(VARIOUS)
This is a game where i cant understand why New Orleans aren't strong favourites! On week 1 performances this should be a stroll in the park for them mainly due to the fact that the 'skins were lucky that the giants weren't in synch offensively or they would have been beaten quite badly in my opinion.New Orleans will miss the services of Marquees Colston who is ruled out for a few weeks after undergoing thumb surgery but still have an arsenal of weapons for Drew Brees to go to and should have far too much for Washington to cope with.

TENNESSEE +1@10/11(VARIOUS)
After a great performance last week against the Jaguars,Tennessee can continue that against the out of sorts Bengals.Having Kerry Collins taking over from Vince Young is no bad thing for the Titans with Young looking like his head isnt in the game just now.Cincinatti have their own problems with top QB Carson Palmer putting up figures that were the worst of his career last week in the loss to Baltimore combined with their inability to stop the run, this looks a good opportunity for Tennessee to cement their position at the top of the AFC North.

A bit of a strange week with a few games being priced up evenly from the bookies with no handicap to speak of so its a case of softly softly just now with some of them. With these 3 selections, the price is nearly 6/1 but if you fancy having a big punt on a single game then i would have no hesitation of putting up Green Bay.

Happy Punting

Well another near miss this week with 2 out of 3 again.Washington found vast improvement from week1 but im not convinced by them especially adopting a west coast offence which you dont learn in a week.New Orleans didnt help themselves with 3 turnovers. On the plus side,Green Bay eventually crushed a spirited Detroit team who were a lot better defending the run game so if you did have them as the main bet you are quids in.Tennessee were easy winners against Cincinatti and now have a 2-0 record and sit atop the division and are now a best priced 7/2 to win the division(advised at 10/1)which still isnt a bad price at all considering the problems other teams in the division are having and have a couple of easy games before they face Indianapolis at home. They could be home and hosed before xmas!

Onwards and upwards to next weeks games!
