I was a Damon Hill fan and I certainly didn't laugh when Michael Schumacher had his bad crash at Silverstone,
I was very relieved to see that he was alright

So there!

Sorry Sue, I don't mean to put you all in the same boat and of course most people(Hill fans or not) were concerned about his welfare but the behaviour of Damon Hill Fans, and it wasn't anybody else, The Ferrari fans, the DC fans, & the Eddie Irvine Fans were impaeccably behaved, that day has probably tarnished my opinion of his fans.

That's ok Jimbob, I'm a bit bored to tell you the truth and we haven't had a good scrap on the forum for ages,
I thought I'd start one, but perhaps I'd better not

You have caused enough trouble banging on about Moto GP

I'm sticking with no - sure he gives the place back, but barely, he just slips right into his slipstream, he wouldnt have been that close coming out of the chicane if he had taken the chicane properly.

Only reason he was as close going into the chicane is because he tries a ridiculous overtaking manoeuvre, and drives too fast, so he's right up Raikkonen because Raikkonen has slowed down to take the chicane properly.

It's a shame it was taken off him, but i think if he had waited another bend before attempting to pass, then he would have been fine.

I dont hate Lewis by the way - but dont start me on his old man....

Cheers

Make no mistake, Schumacher drove Hill off the track. Fact. I've disliked him ever since.

McLaren's appeal is based on the fact that they asked Race Control twice to confirm that Lewis had done the right thing and let Kimi re-pass. RC confirmed twice, otherwise McLaren would have told Lewis to allow Kimi to re-pass again.

If they have that on tape then the result is a no brainer. But who know's what the politics are like in that Ferrari loving den.

He did not cheat, he was so far ahead of the back that he didn't need to. Yes he used the rules fully to his advantage as al great sportsmen do but he was not a cheat!

Always loved that time he won the race from the pit lane, serving a stop go after the chequered flag. Brilliant. Am sure it was the British Grand Prix as well.
