Im off to Ireland for the weekend so im putting this up now before i forget.I might post one for the monday night game but it depends on the hangover
After watching the first game of the new season on thursday i cant say im impressed with the Giants.Started well but couldnt put the game away.Lckily for them the 'skins sucked big time. Both teams will need to improve a lot to have a good season
Week 1 selections.
Not going to get too involved for the first few weeks till we see who's good and who's not so here goes nothing,
Pittsburgh -6.5 @ 10/11.
looks a good bet with pittsburgh being the home team giving up less than a TD.Top class at home and houston generally start the season slowly.
Minnesota +2.5 @ 20/23
need to put down a marker to how they are going to go this year and nothing more impressive than doing it against division rivals away from home especially with chicago away to indianapolis.
new orleans -3 @5/6
great offence with the likes of reggie bush and the new addition of jeremy shockey being led by drew brees.defence is an unknown after last year but tampa arent the most explosive offensively so shouldnt be a huge threat.
All prices are from William Hills but oddschecker havent got their full list of handicaps up yet so you might get better but as it stands thats an 11/2 treble.
As i said im not lumping on these but it gives an interest until the season settles in.
Happy Punting

What can be said about the weekend results?Pittsburgh did what i expected them to do and New Orleans were comfortable enough but im absolutely livid with myself about the Minnesota result. Not because they lost but more to do with the fact that if i had time to research it more i would have noticed that they havent beaten the packers in ages, especially at lambeau field where they got thumped 34-0 the last time.Just goes to show that you must do your homework but not a major setback and there are plenty of opportunities in the forthcoming weeks. _________________ sticks & stones may break my bones but whips & chains excite me |
