Heather Fell gets silver behind the German.
Clearly there should be a larger pool of horses so they only have to jump once and there is a back up should one go lame.

| Which is absolutely true! The men riding were, to coin a phrase, bloody awful! At least one of our girls admitted being a bit inexperienced and therefore having to work harder at the riding phase. It looked like the men thought they could bully the horses....which as we know is not a good idea at any level! |

Ah, that explains a lot then
I didn't actually see the men going round, just the compilation of clips of riders flying off in all directions!

A lot of them learnt the hard way that having your reins short is not the same as "having two inches of rein between hand and bridle".
Plus I think women are a little more sympathetic and probably more women tuned into their horses in the short time allowed than the men did. |
