TGS (if you're about)..
Did you follow your system and lay the top weight in the first at Great Leighs? Wouldnt have been a bad shout if you did |

I looked at the race but got burnt on a 7/1 lay last night so let that one pass, trying to avoid the poor house this week
It isn't really a system as such just an observation/guide that I use. If it's a short price and carrying top weight that could be a reason for me to lay it, I guess 2 year olds just find it harder to carry more weight, I wouldn't recommend doing it blindly. |

I'm on my way to Chester in a mo.
2 bits of info....
I know a few guys who work at the course. They told me that course officials allowed Machinette to run on the course earlier this week. Apparently flew round the bends and is fancied.
The other bit of info is Box Office. Never run before and Johnston's only runner. Apparently the horse is v highly thought of and expected to win.
Just found out box office is non runner.
Bye for now,

I agree there, every so often you do get a short priced top-weight 2yo for good reason. I'd heard about that way of betting before I saw you used it but seeing how you've been laying recently it does seem to reap rewards more often than not! |

These 3 for me today.
Dvinsky 3-15 @ 25/1
Trans Siberian 3-50 @ 12/1
Azarole 4-25 @ 22/1
£2.50 e/w round robin, hoping to hit a few places for a decent return. _________________ 2008 BCC WINNER - Henry The Navigator (Is this some kind of sick joke? Nice e/w treble though)
2008 ARC WINNER - Youmzain (2nd, Getting Closer!)
2008 ST. LEGER WINNER - Look Here (3rd)

I get the feeling Mrs K Waldron is going to be a bit upset after the next race, she has 3 of the 4 runners and the other runner is the more likely to win |

Anyone backing Masaalek in the 4.25.
Am not calling him ungenuine in the slightest but more he lack that extra change of gear but against this calibre of opponent he should be able to grinde it out.
Skinny at evens though. |

| Really fancy FIRST AVENEUE to win at Chester tonight (18.10 race). Been crying out for this softer ground imo. Still feasily treated and open to improvement. Unfortunately I don't want to back him at 13/8 though with a small question mark over his temperament - keeps placing and has shown a bit of an awkward head carriage and has hung before. In other words; a typical Montjeu colt. I still expect him to be very hard to beat. Dzesmin can go close too and is the biggest danger. |

Rather chunky bet on Donaldson in the 6.25 Fontwell.
If he has brushed up his jumping he should win this in a canter tbh.
Has a massive engine on him and could be a lot better than this grade. |
