If ever there was a egotistical official in sport the Billy Bowden has got to be it.  There are laid out instructions for indicating signals within the laws of Cricket and not one of them is included in the antics of this sad attention seeking buffoon.  Darryl Hare executed the letter of the law - sacked! Steve Buckner made a couple of errors - replaced. This idiot Bowden gets away with antics that demean most officials in all sports with the possible exception of American Football and Australian Rules Football.  I have seen Bowden likened to Dickie Bird, what a joke, he makes Dickie seem competent.  If I, as an umpire, which I am, were to do his actions, I wouldn't be umpiring much more.  Officials are there to be unnoticed but in control.  He is not a character he is, in my opinion,  a crass egotist.
