I had a novel idea earlier on and thought I would float the idea and see what people think !!!
How about a forum advent calendar !!! Where one or more people find 30 images or movies, funny or horse related, and they get posted up on the forum one at time as the days approach christmas ?
It seems like quite a good way to celebrate christmas, what do people think or can anyone come up with anything better ?
I like it a lot! Although I don't like Christmas much
Aren't there usually 24 or 25 windows?
24 windows, the first one is opened on the 1st Dec and the last one on 24th Dec !!! And no peaking allowed
I'm not sure if it's possible to find 24 images that are all christmasey and horse related, and I think the 24th Dec window's usually the nativity scene, lord knows what that'll be ?

How about Mary, with the baby Jesus in her arms, on board the donkey and shaking up the reins to get away as the three wise men come into the scene....I mean what good is gold, Frankenscense and myyrhh when you can turn water into wine...

We could have an advent calender for each forum Celebrities in Santa Hats on Off Topic and Footballers in Santa Hats on Football!
Maybe I didn't think this the whole way through But that sort of thing.

I wasn't going to do it as there weren't too many people enthusiastic about it !!! But if someone wants to help out getting the pictures I guess it's back on

Go to google, under the google logo there are several links, pick the "Images" link. Search for the types of images you want and it'll return back pictures that match your search criteria.
Click on the image you want to display in the forum and it will go to a page which has a google banner at the top with the image you selected in it. Select the image in the banner and it will show the picture in its full size !!!
Now to get the picture into a message in the forum. You need to get the URL for the image, copy it from the address bar in the browser, it begins http://. Compose the message on the forum and press the 'Img' button that will place
Code:
[Img]
in the post and then paste the url for the image after it and then press the 'Img' button again and it will place a
Code:
[/Img]
in the post.
When you submit the message the picture should show up !!!
So a quick example would look like this when you compose :-

Good point shamardal84 I guess we better start organising it now !!!
So by the looks of it we're looking at having one for the footie forum and one for the horse racing forum !!!
I'll post up two messages on here in the format you suggested and if there are any takers stick your name down and the days that you can post them up !!! The likelyhood that there will be duplicate pictures will be remote I'd suggest !!!
If there are any blanks on the list I'll fill in, please don't leave me with too many to find !!!
I suggest we need something special for the christmas eve pictures, does anyone have any ideas or will I be the only person online on that day
