you can bet less than £2 on the exchange but ironically you need more than £2 in your account to do it.
on multiples i'm sure i've done a £1 yankee on some longshots betfair before so that's 11 £1 bets - so maybe the £2 minimum doesn't apply to multiples anyway. i could just be imagining it though - let me go and check...

you still need more than £2 in your account i believe. and it doesn't work on multiples.
Say if horse A is trading at 8.0. Put a request in to back it at 100.
Then once it says that the bet hasnt been matched up the£2 to £3 and press submit.
Then you'll have two bets - 1 for £2 and 1 for £1.
Then reduce the odds to the £1 to whatever you want. Submit.
Then cancel the £2 one.
