The mighty prancing horse of Ferrari will be victorious once more!! Kimi The Iceman will once again put the overated scumbag Hamilton firmly in his place and Alonso will humiliate him showing Ron Dennis & all the others at the team that tried to cheat their way into a championship last season that they got rid of the wrong driver!!!

My Prediction for the Drivers Championship;

1. Kimi
2. Alonso
3. Massa
4. Hamilton
5. Heidfeld

Good to see the mighty Schumi back in a car the other day by the way

Can anybody give me prices on Kimi & Alonso to win the Championship as Oddschecker has now been blocked by the powers that be in the office

Hi Archie. Cheers for that.  on Alonso could be worth a small bet now he is out of the Mcliar Mercedes who wouldn't let him win last year for fear of upsetting the inferior Hamilton. Kimi & Alonso are really a cut above the rest. As a Ferrari fan, I would love to see Massa win it as I have followed his career since the start & knew he was something special the first time I saw him but he will have to produce something extraordinary to beat Kimi & Alonso.

In answer to your question, what I love about sport in general is the tactics involved and motorsport in general, although to the casual observer it doesn't look it, is one of the most tactical sports out there! It really annoys me when people say it is all the car & the drivers have nothing to do with who wins  That is like saying Jockeys have no talent and it just depends on what horse they are on. Of course the car(and the horse for that matter) is very important but it isn't the be all and end all of who wins. If that were the case, Michael Schumacher would never have won two world championships in a Benneton!

Now Motor Racing can be boring as any sport can but it can also be the most exhilarating sport going!! When to pit, how much fuel to put in, what tyres to be on, when to make a move & when to sit back, these are the things that decide a race!! I tell you what though. I'm never going to Silverstone again. 4 hour traffic jams, when you get there it is full of idiots who know very little about the sport and just want to see a British Driver win(not caring about the safety of anybody else. If they ain't British they don't care). Watch the Belgian or the Spanish GP's as they are the most entertaining. Then you may be a convert Archie

I would like to see Massa make a good go of it this year.
Hope that petulant spoilt brat Alonso finishes knowhere.
Do thin that Ferrari will be the best by far this year.
Got a gut feeling that McLaren will have a stinker so making it a bit more interesting on the betting front race to race.

You will never convert me to the most boring "spectacle" on tv! Hours of mind sapping monotony as cars follow one another around the same track in the same order The only time it gets mildly interesting is if one of the cars spins out of control and causes a pile up! Say what you like about technicalities and tactics it`s still boring The only "sport" where the slowest have to give the fastest a start! Where`s the sport in that?
Rant over

As in qualifying where you get pole position for driving the fastest lap ?

I don't understand the question, surely the slowest cars are on the back of the grid, hence the start being referred to by merrymozzer.  If the slow ones were at the front of the grid then there would be some fun, but also horrific accidents.  Just as a point of information, in the London Marathon the fastest are always at the front to.

But everybody has equal chance to qualify on pole do they not? It's not as if Bernie Ecclestone is saying that nobody in a Super Aguri is allowed to qualify on Pole. It is just that the Super Aguri is not a good enough car to get pole. in theory they could do, just as in theory Luxembourg could win the World Cup.

I agree, everybody has a chance to get on pole position, but would the racing be more spectacular if the cars that have no chance of getting in that position were not allowed to race until they met a recognised benchmark, like athletes qualifying for the Olympics? or horses for certain races?  nine times out of ten carnage happens in F1 racing just after the leaders have got away from the start, or when they are trying to lap inferior cars or drivers.  The aforementioned is only a "what if" scenario because I am a firm believer that without losers there can't be winners hence the numbers of minnows in every single sport, good luck to them all.
