David, any horse that wins over here as stylishly as he did at xmas will always be overhyped. His price reflects the hype.Has a good chance but not for me.
i was in the owners bar at leop yesterday and all the talk was about what zaarito had done the previous day.
willie mullins is supposed to have another good one due to come out soon too, possibly this weekend at gowran. can't for the life of me remember its name though, hopefully i wrote it down in the racecard or something _________________ Oh why did you do it, have you not the guts to say. You said it was an accident, or even a ricochet

Think the Mullins horse you are looking for is APT APPROACH
I've just watched Zaarito's 3 wins - that win the ther day was wildly impressive, i couldn't believe how well he was travelling 1f out - could have won by another 5 or 10 if he'd let go sooner. SUrely the one to beat after that. Already has two wins on good ground and travels so well that the track should pose no problem. Only small concern would be: did that improvement occur due to encountering soft/heavy ground for the first time or was it just general improvement? If the latter, i agree that he is surely the bumper winner in waiting.

They were concerned before the race that the soft/heavy ground might blunt his speed so we'll have to assume they really fancy him on faster ground.

This Sunday at Naas should see the most informative Bumper of the season to date, and it'll be a shoot out where the losers may drop out of the Cheltenham picture.
It looks essentially a straight match between Time Electric & Corskeagh Royale.
With the Meade stable coming back to form its noticeable that opposition to Time Electric has been building over the past couple of days. The latter horse will be in reciept of a couple of pounds at least, but I'd say the confidence is behind Corskeagh Royale.
The only potential springer remaining in the market should also be running, in the shape of Ted Walsh's Genuine Pearl. No bookies prices on this one, but remains the only horse of potential that can make it into the mix.
I though shall be topping up on the 16's still available on Corskeagh Royale before the race.
Did you see Cousin Vinny win at Punchestown in the week, very impressive indeed.
He did it well considering he was bumped about all over the place in the race.
Mullins said after the race his Cheltenham bumper hopefuls are Cousin Vinny , Apt Approach, Lillywhitedancer and Drive On Regardless.
I can't remember where I read it but someone was saying that if Mullins sends over one horse for the bumper then you should take note, but when he sends over a whole load it means he doesn't have much of a hand to play in the race !!! I don't know how much truth is in that !!!

Just watched it Dave
A nice performance alright, but I'd still rather take the 16's on a horse that won a Grade 2 Bumper by 8l, than 16's on a horse that won a sprint to the line in a pretty slowly run bumper.
TIME ELECTRIC will not run in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival.
Tom Mullins' much-vaunted six-year-old was a leading contender for the race but will instead go for the Punchestown equivalent in April.
Mullins told the Racing Post: "His owner (Paul Duffin) is not keen on going to Cheltenham for the bumper now as he wants to keep him for the Champion Bumper at Punchestown, which is a more valuable race.
"He also feels some horses don't come out of that Cheltenham race too well and does not want to takethe chance.
