I see where your'e coming from and if you believe that collateral formline will prove significant then the price is ok. However, for me, the killer is the very low Topspeed rating BM has achieved over hurdles which makes me suspect the 'form' as insignificant. Seeing your'e on the fav at fancy prices though you have plenty of scope to back other horses in the race so good luck with that. _________________ RJI
All the big players in an open ante-post market stood their ground, with JCB Triumph Hurdle-bound Franchoek the only name of betting significance missing from the remaining entries.
Franchoek has been taken out of the Supreme
Surely he's not going for the Fred Winter, he'd have to carry lumps of weight and the Ballymore, well I'm sure the trainer wouldn't want to run him in that and there's not been any hint of it !!!

Ante-post bets are safe !!!
Alan King has said that McCoy will ride Franchoek for sure.
Mick Fitzgerald will ride the other JP MacManus runner! _________________ SBH Comp 2008 - Runner Up
I'm just thrilled that its now clear the triumph is definitly the aim. Although i must say i found the idea that he would go for anything else a bit ridiculous. Absolutly tailor made for the triumph, especially coming from that stable.
I agree completely - he is my idea of a rock solid chelt bet (like Katchit last year). Would not quite be my banker, but I do have a few bob on (showing my age). One of my favourite races and love to see a good quality horse like this in there! _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzDGTMayREI
What i do not understand is how the RP come up with there TS & RPR ratings as binocular got given a TS of 134 and an RPR of 138 but Beau Michael got a TS of 81 but an RPR of 136 and to be honest on times through the cards both were not really that different to recieve such a large TS difference.
I was more impressed with Beau Michaels win than Binoculars because the horses that finished in 3rd was a pretty decent flat horse and that was also the furthest Temlett has been beat, a few of those placed behind Binnocular ar nothing special form wise.
I do agree with you DD that Beau Michael is very good E/W -Place value for the Triumph as the extra 1F should suit this horse as well _________________ Forest are Treemendous
I am firmly in the Franchoek camp and have already backed him at bigger prices but I have been looking for a Hobbs horse that may be able to run a place in this race at a price. He has a great record so its worth looking at his horses.
The one that I like is running today called HIBIKI. He should win today and go on to run in the triumph. He is well bred being a Montjeu and won well last time out allbeit in an egg and spoon race.
I have taken the 50\1 each way with Paddy Power as if he runs a shocker today I wouldnt have thought he will run at Cheltenham and Ill get my stake back but if he wins as he should then his price can only come in.
Anyway I could be talking complete rubbish but I think it's worth a small each bet at the price.
