i am at home in the states and i watched an obrien horse who finished 2nd to a monster at 8f finish 2nd at 12f against what might be a decent bias....horse paid like $12 to place on HRTV which was showing it

studied the race this morning and eyed that chester oaks this morning and anybody who finishes 2nd to fb has a shot

i desperately want to bet europe but if i do i have to get organized info down on paper so i can relate everything...plus i have to get the breeding for the ground down...then an account

i am seeing what i like

Can hardly type.

Pissed and emotional. Had a good old bet on Light Shift, but it's all about Henry.

He is a LEGEND. God bless him.

I'll stick this up again. First posted by Rob after last years Derby..but certainly worth taking note of.

"an alternative view using the clock.the best oaks winners of recent times (back to 1997)actually clocked faster times than the coronation cup winners, oiuja board, kazzia, ramruma and reams of verse.they won 5 from there next 9 runs at 3 between them.the other 5 who clocked slower times eswareh, casual look, shahtoush, imagine and love divine all lost there next 11 runs at 3 between them.

as for the derby ,the following 1m4f handicap straight after is a good guide.gallileo, high chapperal, sinndar and oath clocked a time at least 1.8 seconds faster and bar oath who got injured ,the other 3 were great derby winners who went onto win again.all the other derby winners clocked 1.5secs(north light) or slower and they turned out to be not so good.

so this year alexandrova was slower than shirocco (only just by 0.07secs) and sir percy was only 1.37 seconds faster.make your own minds up."

Alexandrova improved a further 3lb on RPR figures and won another 2 times.

Sir Percy hasn't improved and is yet to make his way back into the winners enclosure. Fair enough he's only raced twice since, but he was thumped when he went back to Newmarket

Light Shift and I suppose Peeping Fawn beat the time of the Coronation Cup, which I thought was run at a pretty good pace. Both these horses should therefore make their marks again at Gp1 level.
