A new entry from me:

Salient

Ran at Newmarket on Saturday.

Was slowly away & then got hampered by a horse crossing it at the start. This ment he was out the back early. Started to make ground when again not getting a clear run. Ran on again to finish just behind the leaders. Seems to handle any ground.

It was along time ago that I put this one up & like alot of Akehurts horses he runs abit in & out! Has just been run out of it in two races & at nice odds too including at Goodwood on Monday!! Maybe he won't get his head in front as the handicapper will take note of his close 2nds. I still hope he'll win before the seasons out!

Finally got his head in front yesterday at Sandown winning at 2/1.

I think that will be it for the season so time to remove him from the list.

Dubia Dynamo Ran in the Nursery on the first day of York. Ran on very well to finish 4th. Sprint races are it's target areas & I can see it doing well in them. May be one to watch out for in decent Sprint Handicaps next season.

Runs in the first at Doncaster today. It's a tight looking race & I think it will run well but maybe not be good enough to win. Still one to keep an eye on!

Well that went better than I hoped....won well too!

Can't think how many of my notebook entries have gone on & won (OK! it's taken a few of them a couple of races to win)....but they have done the biz!

Adversity - 6/1 fourth fav - Jockey - Ryan Moore

Running on well last 2 over 7f on debut losing by a length and a half. A maiden win should be within its reach.

Runs in the 3.10 Newmarket. Carries a 6lb pentaly for the win last week which will make it tough. Needs to keep up the improvement but looks capable. Just think the extra penalty might stop him from winning.

Please can you put NEON BLUE & VICIOUS WARRIOR on the list please...heard today first hand that they are both doing very well at home on the gallops

Cheers

Vicious Warrior got placed today got 3rd at Haydock

Vicious Warrior WON today at 10/1! Yay (i got 15.5/1 on BF). It was amazing to watch!

Brave, brave horse to be in the lead from the stalls to the line and hold on in such difficult conditions underfoot, piles of stamina.

Well done to him, i await his next fantastic run.

Races again today at Ayr 5.15, got a brilliant chance. Good luck Vicious!

A horse I think I mentioned in the daily racing thread but not on here is Sweeter Still - an AP OBrien 2yo filly who ran on debut a week or so ago in a decent listed contest at the Curragh who was going as well as anything 2f out and ended up finishing fourth under a weak (at best) hands and heels ride.

She is entered at Dundalk on Thursday evening I think and also in the Fillies Mile at Ascot on Saturday. She also has an entry in the Cheveley Park Stakes so just keep an eye out, a very taking debut performance.

Ronaldsay Ran at Goodwood on Sunday. Was held up at the back by Richard Hughes a such sign they were confident the horse would see out the 1m2f trip. Started to make up ground once pulled out for a run. Keeping on but the horses up front weren't stopping but was finishing full of running for 4th place. A tad unlucky the race before when again held up but meeting trouble in running. Loks as if he will get further than the 1m2f he ran over on Sunday. One too look out for in handicaps towards the end of the season.

Runs 5.50 Haydock A good chance to get his head in front today if he handles the going. I'm not certain & I think Lady's Friend has a decent chance in the race.

Hamton i saw Dubai Dynamo had won and was stunned at the price. I guess like most of us here i only had eyes for Newmarket and Longchamp so it sereve me right.

Nice going on your selections here. Now we expect the same over jumps

Please can we add Naughty Frida, 2yo filly trained by Ed Dunlop. Ran 4th at Salisbury today on second start in maiden race for fillies and colts. First start at Glorious Goodwood, fillies only race can be struck out really. Likely to pick something up sooner rather than later given the improvement between those two starts.

This Naughty horse goes today in the first at Lingfield and should have every chance according to the early SPs.

Not what we want in the notebook section at all. No more notebook entries now for the flat I fear
