haha what a drift on mine - 8.2 now, have had another £10 and will lay it off at 5.0 - as well as a £100 lay in @ 1.23

the 2-40 is basically a 2 horse race and the favourite is shouldering an absolutely massive weight for what he's achieved and it pays better to back Dream In Blue than it does to lay Resplendant Ace so I think the play must be the DiB/RA f/c.

2 pts Dream In Blue/Resplendant Ace F/c 2-40 Southwell

1 pt Dream In Blue @ 7/4 (BoG) (just incase the weight really tells on the fav)

in the first at Sthl i have just noticed that someone has managed to get themselves in the position of backing Sir Nod at 1.82/1.83 for a total of about £100. this horse is a 9/2 shot and has been bigger - never any sense that it would even be favourite never mind odds on.

even by my standards, this is impressively stupid behaviour...

I did something similiar once on my betffair mobile. Inn an unformed market i put in a requaet for some 10-1 for 4 quid. Except what I actually did wwas requested 4-1 for 10 quid which was matched. The horse won at 10-1 and i actually made the same profit more or less but for much more risk than I needed.

Put a 3pt lay @ 1.26 on RA TBP when they were half way round and it already looked like the weight was telling. What an awful race. Fingers burnt on all other bets, I hate the fact I keep picking out these rediculously short priced favs who have absolutely no chance of winning and playing the races so wrong that I don't actually make any money on them. seething

Dunaskin is another horse who won last time out and as such is priced far, far too short. Has won over todays trip only once and that was 6 years ago on grass. Hasn't won a flat race other than LTO for 3 long years. The opposition is obviously atrotious but a horse who's wrong at the weights, running over a trip 3-5f shorter than his optimum trip, has won only once on the flat in 3 years and is 4/7? Have a laugh.

2.5 pt lay Dunaskin @ 1.58 (liability 1.5pts)
5 pt lay Dunaskin TBP @ 1.2 (liability 1pt)

1 pt Magnitude @ 9/2 (Bog)

Today it's still the bread & butter stuff.

Newcastle:

Mister Pete - 2.50 Won well last time & has the usual 6lbs extra but looks good for a repeat dose. I backed Crystal Runner when it won at Newcastle the other day & is the most likely danger, that was over 2m, although in the end he was pulling way. He's back to 2m4f which he has been beaten over so Mister Pete will do for me.

Domino Dancer - 3.50 It's chances doesn't look too bright at first glance but has bits of form to make me think he'll go well today at a nice price.

Et Maintenant - This is a very weak race & it looks a good chance for this one to get back to winning. Has come down the weights a tad which will help.

Exeter:

Although the are holding an inspection at 10.30am they should be OK as the frost has lifted very quickly today.

The Disengager - 3.00 Stepped up on allknown form last time in a fairly good contest. If he progresses from that he has a decent chance.

Plum Pudding - 3.30 Well well at Leicester last time but steps up in trip but has won over 3m.

Gamedor - A weak looking race but now the Moores have got this one on a handicap mark they maybe able to progress with this one who looks too have a very good chance in this.

Nice little gamble landed with The Disengager, got 8/1 this morning.

Pleased about Mister Pete's price too.    Where the money for the fav came from I don't know, but never looked liked been landed.

Had ample opportunity in running to green screen myself but didn't. I don't even know why I'm trying on this awful racing. I'll get my coat. , this.

I thought it at the time, possibly the most bent ride I've ever seen, and I've seen some blatent no triers (fixing) in the past. No excuse there he didn't hit the horse once. His elbows were doing that astute 'lets make it look like I'm trying when clearly I'm not'. Never got serious, even up towards the line he made sure he didn't get 3rd. Stewards should throw the book at him but I'm sure a backhander will suffice.
