Were you not watching Luca Badoer??

Got me there. Second worst.

As for Sunday - Looks like a very solid race for McLaren; Hamilton's the obvious choice and the price has gone.

Quite surprised to see Sutil at 16-1 on Betfair; both practice sessions have gone well for FI and their form from Spa is excellent; a great straight-line package and a big price. Even better value is Kovalainen at 14-1, best KERS on the grid and the car looked very sweet indeed this morning.

I've not much faith in what happens in these Friday sessions, especially as it's really the only testing they get now!

The whole thing is being overshadowed by yet more controversy anyway with this Renault-Piquet affair. Whilst it seems like sour grapes I find it interesting that Piquet has been granted immunity from punishment (albeit pointless as he no longer has a drive) as it suggests that FIA thinks there's something to pursue.

Fantastic again for Rubens, absolutely brilliant.

Looking to be a straight fight between Jenson & Rubens now. They both deserve it, Shame one of them will have to finish second really

Agreed, gutted for my Vettel bet, still got him e/w but might struggle with 3rd now. Im happy to see either Button or Barichello win, both nice guys and both deserve it.

Just announced that renault have pleaded guilty in the race fix accusation at Singapore.
Flavio has left as well.
Shocking that someone was instructed to deliberately crash their car and even more shocking that the driver agree.
Cant see anyone forgiving them quickly especially with all the sensetivity over crashes.

Unbelieveable, really. But I heard that Briatore was suing Piquet for "blackmail" and once I heard that, it seemed it had to be true - if he was suing, Piquet must have had something.

I guess Renault are trying to dodge a bullet, but (IMO) this is something they should be kicked out of the sport for if it's true.

Too right.

A bit of argy bargy is one thing but this is just downright despicable.

What if Piquet had lost his life doing that stunt? Would the culpable parties have come out and admited the truth.

I shake my head when things like this come to the fore. They haven't been proven guilty yet but one must wonder what goes on in the pursuit of victory.

I may be coming over as sanctimonious but strewth, can't we play any games whithout there being some sort of deciet or deception in it?

It just seems hugely risky. Briatore didn't/doesn't respect Piquet as a driver - and, to be honest, he's not really that good, I think he's gone off a few times. But that wouldn't make me confident that he had the ability to go off at a particular point and particular time, and without injury!

And what kind of person deliberately puts another persons physical wellbeing at risk in the interests of winning.

To save the team? To save his job more like.

Which is probably what he promised young Piquet.

Renault have been given a disqualification suspended until the end of the 2011 season for their role in Nelson Piquet Jr's crash at the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix.

Flavio Briatore has been banned from all F1 activities including driver management.

Briatore can't even go and watch F1 - ever.... Symonds is also banned but only for 5 years.

Is the evidence in case available?
