I've just been looking through Tatenen's form and he really has beaten nothing so far I hope some decent horses show up at Leopardstown this christmas to put him under pressure.

Kalahari King is entered up at the weekend at Ascot. The jockey is also booked (G Lee) and I expect him to go very close. He is worth having a dabble on for the Arkle because he will shorten following the weekend.

RJI,

Whynot back him at the weekend and then put your winnings on for the Arkle afterwards like Alan suggested last week?

Hope you are okay, is the sun shining over there?

Jet..........

If he doesn't win I don't think his odds will shorten a great deal would they?

Kalahari King also entered for a class 3 chase at Haydock on Saturday and he would be a strong fancy if they went there instead of the Ascot race

Tatenen really should have won today in receipt of 11lbs if he was going to win the Arkle as he'll be off levels in March i think. 5/1 makes no appeal now

Follow the Plan at 12s (16s+ on bf) looks good value now as quite simply he now has easily the best form and is improving.

Despite flopping today Made in Taipan at 25/1 is appealing in the sense that he beat FTP last time and I'll allow any horse one bad run. He looked really good on his last 2 starts and maybe today was just one race too many as he's been quite busy this season so far. Once freshened up I can still see him being a big player in the Arkle.

Agreed Tatenen is a hideous price at the moment. He jumps great but his Arkle credentials took a battering today. This ante post market looks as though it wont take much to shake it up, I get the feeling we may not have seen the arkle winner yet.

I was quite taken by the battling qualities displayed by Araldur in winning his last race at Sandown. (1 sec slower than MasterMinded's TC)

He may not be a VPU (yet) and connections think he'll do better over further, but things can change so I've had a sneaky bit of the 24's on BF.

And if he runs in the Jewson I'll hammer him.

He only just beat Free World, who clattered one of the fences when going much the better and i think that knocked the wind out of him, otherwise I think Free World would of beat Araldur and I still think Free World is a machine and will prove it come Arkle day

I cannot express to you all how much I rate this Calgary Bay. I believe he is going to be such a serious horse and will be better with every run.

He is such a big tank of a horse but for a big horse he is so athletic and jumps so quick and gets away from his fences so quickly.

I saw this horse on Tolworth Hurdle day and said to myself, he is a going to be a serious chaser.

This horse is closely related to The Grey Monk who was a stout stayer. I think this horse is so good he will win a KG in the next 2-3 years and possibly a GC.

He is going down the right route. This horse stays further than 2m but has the speed and travels and jumps well to win at 2m. AP McCoy said earlier in the season that this is the horse he is looking forward to riding the most. He has the course form, he was oh so impressive on New Years Day, winning the same race as My Way De Solzen before he went on to Arkle Glory. He is such an exciting horse.
