I've just seen a replay of todays Juvenile Novices Hurdle won by Franchoek, how impressive was that !!!

It'll take a good one to beat him next March !!!

Heard interviews with both King and Choc. King stated that he was more of a galloping type than Katchit and would only run at the likes of Cheltenham and Chepstow this season. Feels he is more in the Mysilv mould; an out and out galloper.

Choc said much the same and that they had a couple of sharper types at home one of which was Emerald Witness (has joined King from Channon). His worry about him was that he showed so much speed at home, he had some doubts about him getting the trip. Saw EW last week; he still looks very much like a flat horse. Very lean and very fit.

Franchoek was very impressive today.

I backed Fraenchock at 16's a few weeks back.........had to back it with totesport as Betfair didnt have the market up then.

Still, looks like a machine.

Francheok looked a real decent prospect I agree but 8/1 seems short enough to me at this stage.

Don't forget that many top stables are still to play their hand in this field and they contain many 100+ rated flat horses and decent animals with hurdling experience purchased in France.

I've just had a bet on Franchoek for the Triumph Hurdle, but wish I had backed him before his win on Saturday. I tipped him after his previous win and said that he would go well in the Triumph, yet didn't put a penny on him! Have managed to get him at 7/1 which isn't brilliant but I'm sure it'll shorten a lot more.

Think he will struggle against a speed horse on good ground and Alan King has said that he may even go for the 2 1/2 mile novice hurdle if the ground were to come up quick. Given that some of the better juveniles from big stables haven't come out yet I wouldn't be rushing to back him at single figures. 7/1 seems very short as on the day it is usually 5/1 the field in the Triumph hurdle.

Backed him at 20's on Friday in a Round Robin.

Looks like I just need Afsoun (33's Champion Hurdle) and Fair Alon (33's QMCC) to oblige and I will be laughing.

Hmm.. Going by my own instincts he really didn't look void of pace at all and quickenend really well. Considering Alan King trained MWDS to win a QMCC after winning a world hurdle also. My instincts were right so far about Elusive Dream but i will wait to back Franchoek until before his next run i think.

Jayfle, Elusive Dream was beaten by the ground rather than lack of ability at Cheltenham last time out. I wouldn't judge him on that run.

Have not played in this race yet but was really taken by ASHKAZAR on his debut. I fully except to win on thursday especially with the form of the Pipe yard. So 10/1 could look a big price come thursday night.
