The loudest golf tournament in the calender,150.00 thousand screaming mostly yanks ,especially loud at the 16th hole.
A short par 3 where shouts of get in the hole(no offence Tiger) regulary are shouted.
Mickelson will be the short price fav with no Woods still repenting for his sins .Lefty is still too short for me ,I am waiting for Augusta for Lefty and feel in the absence of Woods he will be a real value fav to wear the green jacket.
Poulter the clothes horse (dosent he suit pink)will be fancied by some after last weeks matchplay win but i will pass him over in favour of a guy who never featured in the matchplay.JB Holmes he has been in great form lately and was placed in his last two starts .
He has won this title twice but every time he had defended it ,he missed the cut .
Lets hope the sequal continues (1-MC-1-MC) and can get me my 4th winner of the season.
Suggested bet
1pt JB HOLMES 25.0 BETFAIR
1PT Holmes top 5 finish 6.0 betfair.
Prices checked 14.00

For fun have added M Calc @ 275/1 and Johnson Wagner(both ew to tiny money) who is massively overpriced @ 500/1.When JW wins it will add over £1K to my Cheltenham fighting fund

Have added 3 more fun bets in P Perez @ 80/1,Bo Weekley @100/1 and  D Chopra @ 200/1- all ew to be 1st round leader.

Have done a few speculative ones in this

Kevin Sutherland
Ryuji Imada
Parker McLachlin
Jonathan Kaye

I can see it being a rubbish tournament

Not the ideal start ,two under leaves him 7 behind Camilo Vegas ,who has been threatening to put a round like yesterdays 62 all season.
Missed a put just under 3 ft at the weekend in the semi final of the matchplay to beat Casey.
With the selections lenght(pardon) can hopefully make up ground.
It has to be remembered you cant win a tournament on the first day but you can lose one ,so still 54 holes to go

I was going to back Villegas but wanted to see how is 1st round went. I cannot believe that he is trading @ 7/2 with 54 holes to play. That it ridiculously short so have looked elsewhere...

Have gone for

Ryan Moore @ 30
Ryuji Imada @ 36
Brandt Snedeker @ 32

Have layed Snedeker @ 5/2 to lock in some profit. Its looking very open and wouldn't be surprised if someone wins this from off the pace.

Charles Howell 111 only goes well in the early parts of the year, from May onwards you can lay Charles for the rest of the year and make a good profit.
The fact that its the last  day of Feb and Charles is just 4 of the lead going into the last round is an eye opener.
Dont normally go in the last day of a tournament unless I am locking in a profit but feel I must have a go today.
suggested bet
1pt ew Charles Howell 111 ,33/1 blue sq,bet365.one quarter odds first 3
price checked 10.47

poor Effort didn't even make the cut.
Rjuda Imada only hope for me which is asking alot 5 shots off the lead although they did say the weather was not going to be great on Sunday earlier in the week which gives you something to cling to
